University Park Party Bus & Limo Service

University Park is two places sharing four square miles. One is brick houses, alleys and small parks like Goar and Caruth, framed roughly by Mockingbird, Northwest Highway and US-75. The other is SMU, which takes the eastern side of town and runs on its own calendar of classes, games, commencement and move-in.

On a Tuesday your pickup is easy. Streets are empty, an alley gives a limo room to swing, and Hillcrest gets you to Mockingbird and the Tollway in minutes. On a home game Saturday, that identical curb can sit inside a web of closures, parking restrictions and ten thousand people walking.

So the first question we ask you is the date, and the second is whether anything is happening on campus. What follows from that:

• Your street probably wants a mid-size vehicle. A 14-passenger stretch limousine or a bus up to about 26 seats loads fine at the curb. Full coaches do better on Hillcrest, Lovers or University.
• Campus pickups need a real address. "Outside Dallas Hall" is a lawn. Give us a street and a building.
• Snider Plaza is angle-parked and busy. We load on the edge streets instead of circling the blocks.

None of this is hard once you tell us which kind of day you are having.

Game day is why most University Park families and SMU alumni call us. You know the ritual already: tents on the Boulevard, the tree-lined run of Bishop through the middle of campus, then the walk to Ford Stadium. Friends fly in, somebody hosts, and nobody wants to be the one hunting a space or driving home after.

The season is compressed. October, November and September each pull around a sixth of the sports and game-day requests in our wider data, all well above their usual share. Those same fall Saturdays carry weddings and homecomings across the whole region, so you are competing with more than other fans.

How your day works with a chartered vehicle:

• Drop early and outside the core. Campus streets fill or close long before kickoff. We drop on the perimeter, on whichever side the day's traffic plan allows, and you walk in.
• Pick your pickup corner before the game. Thousands of people leave at once. Choose a corner a few blocks out and a time, and your driver will be standing there.
• Keep the cooler adult. Riders 21 and over may bring drinks on most vehicles, within that vehicle's terms. Any group with someone under 21 rides dry.

Say twenty of you are starting from a house north of campus for an evening kickoff. Shift everything by the same amount for an earlier game and the shape holds.

• 2:45 p.m. Bus at the host's curb. Coolers and chairs load.
• 3:05 p.m. Drop at the agreed campus edge. You walk to your tent.
• 6:30 p.m. Kickoff. The driver stages off campus or returns later, depending on your arrangement.
• 10:00 p.m. Meet at the pickup corner, fifteen minutes after the whistle.
• 10:30 p.m. Optional stop on Knox Street or Lower Greenville, or straight home with a second drop at a Mockingbird hotel.

That is roughly seven and a half hours door to door, which stuns people who assume a three-mile trip is a short booking. You are paying for the window, not the driving minutes. Perkins Chapel on campus is a favorite ceremony spot for SMU alumni, and Highland Park United Methodist sits across Mockingbird from campus. Your reception is almost never in the same place. It is an Uptown or Turtle Creek hotel, a club, a Design District room. That gap is the whole transportation job.

What makes your wedding different from one a mile south is the campus itself. Chapel parking is thin, event weekends swallow the garages, and a fall Saturday can land on a home game. Before you sign for a date, hold it up against the football schedule. If they collide, shuttle your guests from the hotel and let nobody try to park on campus.

Commencement weekend

Every May your relatives land from out of town, check into hotels on Mockingbird or the Tollway, and need grandparents, siblings and luggage moved between hotel, ceremony and dinner. These run from campus to a venue in Dallas or Fort Worth and back. We hold them to the same standard as any adult booking: drinks only for riders 21 and over under the vehicle's terms, and one named organizer who keeps a charged phone.

High school prom and homecoming

When you call about a University Park date, the most useful thing you can hand us is context. Game day, chapel wedding, commencement, or an ordinary Friday? That single answer tells us which curbs will be open and how much cushion to build.

Expect a conversation about hours. Minimum rental time comes up in roughly 18% of the sales calls we analyze, and it bites harder here because your trips are so short. A ten-minute run to Uptown still sits inside a minimum, so use the time you are already paying for: dinner at Snider Plaza, a stop on Knox, then the main event.

For game days, hold the date as soon as the SMU home schedule posts, then set your pickup once kickoff is announced.
