Every December the homes along Armstrong Parkway, Beverly Drive and the streets between them put on one of the most visited displays in North Texas, and half the region comes to crawl through it. You already know what that does to your evening commute.

Three honest things about touring your own lights in a chartered vehicle:

• Go on a weeknight. Friday and Saturday evenings barely move. Monday through Wednesday, the same loop takes a fraction of the time and you can actually look up.
