Nothing we track bunches up like sports, except prom. Across the wider network we work with, about 50% of sports and game-day inquiries are for fall dates. September, October and November each pull a bigger slice than they do across events generally. Football decides the year.

A few things dispatch would tell you at the curb. A party bus has no luggage bay, so everything you bring shares the cabin with you. Propane and charcoal never ride inside a passenger vehicle, so pack food ready to eat or send the grill in somebody's pickup. And since stadiums limit what you can carry in, whatever stays behind spends the game in the driver's locked bus.

Cowboys Sunday, noon kickoff, from Collin County

1. 8:15 a.m. One pickup at a shopping-center lot in Plano where cars can sit all day. Get the property's blessing first.
2. 8:30 a.m. South on the Bush Turnpike and SH-161. The rolling tailgate starts now: breakfast tacos, coolers open for the riders over 21.
3. 9:30 a.m. Into Arlington. Buses use designated lots and drop areas around AT&T Stadium, and those can change by event, so we check the week of the game.
4. Noon to 3:15 p.m. Game. Pick a meeting spot and set your departure from the final whistle, not the clock.
5. 4:00 p.m. Roll out behind the first wave of traffic. Home around 5:15.

Texas-OU Saturday at the Cotton Bowl

1. 7:30 a.m. Uptown pickup. Kickoff is often before noon and the State Fair is running, so Fair Park traffic builds absurdly early.
2. 8:15 a.m. Drop near a Fair Park gate. Expect a walk, because the closest streets are controlled on game day.
3. After the game Most groups stay for a corn dog and the midway. Set a firm reboard time near 3:30, at a corner several blocks out where the bus can actually reach you.
