Four cities wearing one city name

Tell us your address and we can usually guess your night. Irving is really several places stacked together, and your part decides the plan.
- Las Colinas. Towers, hotels, apartments, Lake Carolyn, the Mandalay Canal and the Mustangs sculpture at Williams Square. Wide, well-marked streets. The catch is that half the buildings hide their parking underground, and a bus cannot follow you in there. You load at the lobby drive or the street entrance.
- The Music Factory and convention center. The outdoor Pavilion, the restaurants, the bars, with the Irving Convention Center right beside it. Event nights bring road management and garage queues.
- The airport belt. Hotels along SH-114 and SH-183 near DFW's eastern edge, with porte-cochères actually built for coaches.
- Older Irving. Central and south, mostly single-family streets, where your pickup is the easiest one we do all week.
This is why naming your spot matters more here than almost anywhere. Pickup and route planning shows up in about 8% of analyzed transportation sales calls, which sounds minor until you are the group standing at the wrong garage entrance. A 38-passenger party bus handles a convention crowd, and a 12-passenger stretch limousine is plenty for dinner at the canal.
Getting out after the encore is the hard part
The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory is your big stage, tucked among restaurants and bars just off SH-114. Show nights pack the garages and clog the surrounding streets, and the twenty minutes after a headliner walks off is the slowest part of your whole evening.
So we run a concert night like this:
- Arrive before the crush. You get dropped at the designated passenger area roughly an hour before the headliner, while the roads still move.
- Agree on where you walk out to. A corner or lot a short walk from the venue, never the main entrance, at a clock time about twenty minutes after the last song.
- Resist the second destination. Dinner, show, home. Adding a stop after a concert is where good timelines fall apart.
Show groups here are small and they skip Saturday more than you would guess. Across our historical group-transportation inquiry data, 44% of concert and festival inquiries were for a Saturday, well below the share for all trips, and 27% were for a Friday. Summer is the peak, with August alone drawing a fifth of them. A summer weeknight or Friday show usually leaves you more vehicles to choose from than a Saturday ever will. Our concert transportation page has more.

Your group is landing, so send the flight number
DFW sits on your western edge, ten to fifteen minutes from Las Colinas. That makes your city the natural base for arriving wedding guests, sports teams, corporate groups and anyone flying in for a convention. It also means people treat the pickup as trivial, and it is not.
Airport pickups follow the airport's own rules for commercial vehicles. Your group meets the driver at a designated area rather than the regular arrivals curb, and your confirmation says exactly where. To plan it properly we need three things from you:
- Flight numbers and arrival times, not a general window.
- The count of checked bags, golf bags and anything oversized.
- Whether everyone is on one flight or trickling in on several.
Your vehicle gets chosen by luggage as much as by people. Across our historical North Texas inquiry data, 8% of inquiries that named a vehicle asked about a Sprinter and another 8% about a limousine. For airport work, a Sprinter or a coach with luggage bays usually beats both. The Airport Transfer Planner on this page lets you test bags and buffer time before you commit, and our airport shuttle page covers recurring and group transfers.

Pickup 7:45 AM
Be at the DFW curb by 8:30 AM — 120 minutes before departure for a group of 12. With a 35-minute drive and 10 minutes to load, wheels roll at 7:45 AM.
12 riders with 18 bags: ask about a mini coach with rear luggage. Bags take seats fast in a vehicle without a luggage hold.

The team dinner nobody budgeted transport for

The Irving Convention Center and the hotels around Las Colinas run conferences and trade shows all year. The rides those groups need usually have nothing to do with the conference itself: a team dinner in Dallas, a Rangers or Cowboys game, an evening out at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
These groups run large. A 46-passenger coach bus moves a full team with forward-facing seats and room for bags. A party bus suits the night where the ride is meant to be part of the fun. Plenty of planners book both, a coach for the scheduled transfers and a party bus for the team night, and never regret the split.
Three things worth knowing if you are the planner:
- Las Colinas hotels usually have a porte-cochère or a side loading area. Ask the bell desk where buses should wait, then tell us.
- Over a multi-day event, one contact person on your side makes schedule changes ten times easier.
- Pad your timing around the Music Factory on concert nights, because the convention center and the Pavilion share the same roads.
Our corporate transportation page covers invoicing and recurring schedules, which is the part your finance team will ask about.
Equally close to two downtowns
Highways box you in on every side: SH-114 and SH-183 running east to west, the President George Bush Turnpike north to south, I-635 across the top, Loop 12 down the east edge. From Las Colinas almost everything is reachable before your playlist runs out.
| From Las Colinas to | Typical drive | Good vehicle | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| DFW Airport | 10–15 min | Sprinter or coach | SH-114 west |
| Uptown and Downtown Dallas | 15–25 min | Party bus | SH-183 or SH-114 to I-35E |
| Deep Ellum | 20–30 min | Party bus | Friday traffic adds real time |
| AT&T Stadium, Arlington | 20–30 min | 30+ passenger bus | SH-161 or SH-360 south; longer on game day |
| Grapevine Main Street | 15–20 min | Party bus or limo | SH-114 west |
| Fort Worth Stockyards | 30–45 min | Coach or party bus | SH-183 west |
| Love Field | 15–20 min | Limo or Sprinter | SH-183 or SH-114 east |
Sitting between the two downtowns gives you something most suburbs do not have: a Stockyards night and an Uptown night cost about the same in driving. You get to pick on mood rather than mileage.
For tasting rooms to the northwest, our Grapevine page lays out the wine trail and how a Main Street afternoon actually paces.
The canal is the best backdrop you own
The Mandalay Canal Walk, with its restaurants and European-style footbridges, and the trails around Lake Carolyn give Las Colinas a waterfront that exists nowhere else in the region. It shows up in a lot of proposals, anniversary dinners and wedding albums, and for good reason.
Three ways groups here use it:
- Anniversary or proposal dinner. A limo drops you at the water, you walk, then dinner nearby. Our anniversary party page has more shapes for that evening.
- Wedding photos. The canal and the Mustangs at Williams Square are the two stops photographers ask for between ceremony and reception. Give it thirty minutes, not fifteen.
- Birthday nights. Dinner in Las Colinas, a show at the Music Factory, then Uptown if anyone still has energy.
Drinks on board are for riders 21 and older, under the vehicle's terms. Any ride carrying minors, including proms from Irving ISD and the schools nearby, is alcohol-free and your driver enforces it.
These evenings want a smaller, more formal vehicle than a concert night. A limo or Sprinter fits the canal-side drop points, where the streets narrow and the sidewalks are full of people who are not watching for a bus.
One phone number that stays answered all day
Irving bookings go smoothly when the details are settled up front. As your Irving party bus company, what we need is short:
- The date, your start time, and roughly when you expect to be done.
- Headcount, plus any luggage.
- The exact pickup: hotel name and entrance, home address, or airline and terminal.
- Every stop in order, with the venue named for a concert.
This is also a city where plans move mid-trip. A flight lands early. A keynote runs long. An encore adds twenty minutes. Give us one number that will be answered all day, and tell us the moment the schedule shifts, so your driver can adjust instead of idling at the wrong door.
For a concert, book the week you get tickets. Summer shows and big weekends go fast. For an airport transfer, send flight details as soon as they exist and update us when they change. For a convention, hand over the whole schedule and let us plan the vehicles around it.
The Cost Split Calculator divides the quote so nobody chases anybody afterward, and you can reach us through the contact page. You get back vehicle options with photos and one clear written quote.
