Two people or forty, decide first
Anniversary calls split cleanly in two, and it is the first thing our dispatcher asks you.
The couple's evening. One anniversary, two people. Four, if you are celebrating with the pair who stood up at your wedding. You want to be collected at home, taken to dinner, maybe to a show or a view after, and brought back without either of you opening a parking app or turning down a second glass. This is limousine territory. It is one of the last occasions where a limo genuinely beats a party bus.
The milestone party. A 25th, a 40th, a 50th, usually organized by the adult children. Guests run from toddlers to ninety-year-olds. There is a venue, a slideshow, a cake, and often a surprise. Your transportation job is two-sided: get the honored couple there in style, and get the older relatives and out-of-town cousins there at all.
There is a third kind we should mention. The vow renewal borrows its logistics from a wedding on a smaller scale. If that is yours, read the family-party advice below, then head to our wedding transportation page for the shuttle side.
Everything after this is written for one of the first two. The couple goes first.
The stretch limo finally makes sense here

Limousines are a minority request these days. Only about 8% of North Texas requests that name a preference ask for one, because most group occasions want a bus. Your anniversary is the exception. The group is small, the mood is quiet, and nobody wants a dance pole in the background of the photo.
| Occasion | Riders | Vehicle | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dinner for two | 2 | 6-passenger stretch limousine | Private, classic, easy to stage at a restaurant door |
| Double or triple date | 4-8 | 8-passenger stretch limousine | Everyone faces each other, with room for coats and a gift |
| Parents plus adult kids | 8-14 | 14-passenger party bus | Stand-up entry for anyone who hates ducking into a limo |
| Milestone family shuttle | 18-30 | 28-passenger party bus | One vehicle for the hotel crowd, music kept low |
Now a word about knees. A stretch limousine sits low, and you get into it by ducking and sliding along a bench. If one of you has a bad hip, a small party bus or a Sprinter-style vehicle with a stair and a handrail is the kinder arrival, and the valet will not think less of you for it.
Torn between the two? Our limo versus party bus guide compares entry height, seating and atmosphere without the sales pitch.

Four Dallas evenings couples ask for
Three to four hours, two or three stops, nothing rushed. These are the routes we hear again and again.
Skyline dinner
Picked up at home, dinner at the top of Reunion Tower or a steakhouse on McKinney, then a slow pass over the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge with the skyline lit behind you. Home before eleven, shoes off by eleven-fifteen.
Arts District night
Early dinner downtown, then the Winspear Opera House or the Meyerson. Your car sets you down at the door ten minutes before curtain and is waiting at that same door after, while a thousand people queue for the garage. Our Dallas theater transportation page explains how curtain-time pickups get timed.
Where it started
The sentimental one. The restaurant from your first date, the church where you married, the first apartment. Send us the addresses and we will put them in an order that drives well. It works beautifully in Fort Worth too, between Sundance Square, the Cultural District and the Stockyards.
Bishop Arts wander
Dropped at one end, dinner, pie, a slow walk through the shops, collected at the other end. Those streets are narrow, so your driver stages nearby and comes when you text.
Got a fixed time to hit, like a 7:30 curtain or an 8:00 table? The Event Timeline Builder works backward from it and tells you when the car should be at your door.

Moving a whole family for the 50th

A milestone party has three separate transportation jobs. You may only want one of them, and that is fine.
- The couple's arrival. A limousine collects them at home. If it is a surprise, the cover story is a quiet dinner with one of the kids. Your driver knows the real address. Your parents do not.
- The family shuttle. Out-of-town relatives at one hotel ride together, there and back. This is where a bus earns its keep: one departure time, one vehicle, and nobody's uncle circling Irving with a dead phone.
- The older relatives. Great-aunts and grandparents who no longer drive after dark. Give them a dedicated pickup across three or four addresses, timed so they are seated before the crowd arrives.
The numbers match what these parties look like in person. Roughly two in three requests in our Dallas data are for 20 riders or fewer, and about one in five is for ten or fewer. A family shuttle of fifteen to twenty is the norm. You rarely need a coach unless the party doubles as a reunion, and in that case our family reunion transportation page is the better guide.
With mixed ages aboard, keep the drinks simple. Adults 21 and over may generally bring their own, subject to the vehicle's terms, and nothing is served to anyone under 21. Plenty of families skip it on the ride entirely and toast at the venue, where there are actual glasses.
You have known this date for years
Your anniversary has one advantage over every other occasion: it has been on the calendar since the day you married. And yet these are booked late. About one in seven requests in our Dallas data arrives inside a week of the event, and another thirteen percent land eight to fourteen days out. Anniversary dinners are well represented in that group. The calls usually open with "I know this is last minute, but."
Last minute often works for a small limo on a weeknight. Saturday is harder. And the day of the week is where you have real leverage, because your date is fixed to a number, not to a night. Around 60% of the requests we see in Dallas are for a Saturday, while Friday takes a fraction of that.
So if your anniversary lands on a Tuesday, you have two good moves. Celebrate on the actual day, when almost nobody is asking. Or shift it to the Friday instead of the Saturday.
A few dates to watch. December anniversaries collide with company holiday parties. Anything near February 14 competes with Valentine's Day limo requests. And June, which produced a lot of weddings, is busy with this year's weddings. For any of those, give yourself a month. The Booking Window Planner will name a target date for your month and day.

Flowers, champagne and one secret stop
Bring whatever makes the evening yours. Your driver will help you stage it. What we do not do is sell add-on packages, so couples handle the details themselves. It works out better anyway.
- Flowers. Have them delivered to your house or office and hand them to the driver at pickup. Or ask for a florist stop on the way. Either way they are on the seat when your spouse gets in.
- Champagne. Guests 21 and over may generally bring a bottle, subject to the vehicle's terms. Ask about glass, since some vehicles want it in the ice well while the car is moving. Bring your own flutes if stemware matters to you.
- Your song. Limos and buses connect by Bluetooth. Queue the first dance before your spouse steps in and let it be already playing.
- A surprise stop. Give us that address when you book, not on the night. A driver who knows about the jeweler or the friends waiting at the restaurant can time it perfectly. A driver who hears about it at 7:15 cannot.
- Photos. Your driver is glad to take one of the two of you with the car. Ask at pickup, while you both still look fresh.
Questions about the driver and gratuity show up in about 4% of the sales calls we analyze. The short answer: ask whether gratuity is already inside your total. You should not be doing arithmetic on a curb at eleven o'clock on your anniversary. The Ride Packing Checklist catches the rest, down to the corkscrew.

Sending the request and holding the date
For a couple's evening, your message is short. Date, pickup address, the restaurant or venue, roughly when you want to be home, and the vehicle you have pictured. Most limousines carry a minimum rental length, and a relaxed dinner fills it without trying.
If you only want a ride there and a ride back, ask us to price it both ways. The wait-and-return version often lands close to the same total once minimums apply, and you keep the car at your disposal all evening. That is usually the better deal and nobody thinks to ask.
For a milestone party, add the hotel address, how many relatives are riding, any mobility needs, and whether it is a surprise. The Rental Hours Estimator adds up your legs so the request is realistic from the first email. If siblings are splitting the bill, settle that before anyone signs anything.
We reply with vehicle choices and one total that spells out hours, stops and what is included. One person signs and pays the deposit, and that person's phone is the driver's contact all night. If it is a surprise, make sure that phone does not belong to the person being surprised. We pick up across Dallas and the suburbs around it, and you can browse every limousine before you ask us anything.
