A good town, a long way from the venues
Cleburne has more going on than outsiders think. The 1913 courthouse anchors the square, the Layland Museum sits a short walk away, the Railroaders play downtown at The Depot, and Lake Pat Cleburne and the state park give you the weekend water and hiking. For a family dinner or a milestone birthday, everything you need is already here.
For a concert, a game or a proper night out, though, your group is leaving town. Downtown Fort Worth is 35 to 50 minutes north. The Stockyards run closer to an hour. Arlington's stadiums are 50 to 70 minutes, and Dallas can hit 80 on a Friday. We are not going to pretend otherwise. As your Cleburne party bus company, the useful thing we can do is plan around those miles instead of burying them.
The drive reshapes your whole booking. It means a 4:30 or 5 p.m. pickup for a 7 p.m. dinner in Fort Worth. It means six hours is normal, not extravagant. And it means the seats matter more than the light show, because your group is sitting in them for fifty minutes before anything fun starts. The rest of this page is about making that work in your favor.
Three roads out, and what each one costs you

Nearly every trip we run from here uses one of three roads:
- The Chisholm Trail Parkway starts at US-67 in town and runs straight into downtown Fort Worth past Clearfork and TCU. It rewrote Cleburne's relationship with Fort Worth, and it is your road for Sundance Square, West 7th, Dickies Arena and the Cultural District.
- US-67 goes northeast through Keene and Alvarado toward Midlothian and Dallas. Take it for a Dallas night or anything on the south side of the metro.
- I-35W, picked up through Burleson or Alvarado, is your fallback into Fort Worth and the direct line to the Stockyards.
| Destination | Typical drive from the square | Main road | Hours to book |
|---|---|---|---|
| Downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square | 35–50 min | Chisholm Trail Parkway | 5–6 |
| Fort Worth Stockyards | 45–60 min | Parkway or I-35W | 6 |
| Dickies Arena, Stock Show and Rodeo | 35–50 min | Chisholm Trail Parkway | 5–6 |
| Arlington stadiums | 50–70 min | US-67 and SH-360, or I-35W and I-20 | 6–7 |
| Uptown or Deep Ellum, Dallas | 60–80 min | US-67 | 7 |
| Glen Rose or Granbury | 30–45 min | US-67 south or west on local highways | 4–5 |
Before you ask anyone for a price, drop your plan into the Rental Hours Estimator in the middle of this page. It adds each drive leg to the time you actually want at each stop, which is the exact math a Cleburne trip lives or dies on.
The nights that never leave Johnson County
Some of the best use you will get out of a vehicle here never touches a highway. Local bookings are shorter, simpler and easier to fill on a busy weekend.
- The courthouse square. Dinner for an anniversary or a milestone birthday, with a limo so nobody drives home. Parallel parking and one-way turns mean a stretch limo or small bus fits far better than a coach.
- Lake Pat Cleburne. Reunions and summer birthdays at the lake parks, with the adults heading out after the cookout. The lots take a mid-size bus; set your pickup at the entrance.
- Cleburne State Park. South of town on a narrow, hilly park road. Reunions and retreats work well, but a large coach should confirm access with the park first, and pickups go smoothest near the headquarters area.
- Railroaders games and the Conference Center. Company outings, team nights and banquets downtown, often with two return runs at different times for the people who leave early.
Four hours usually covers a local night. Across our group-transportation data, 77% of birthday requests ask for four to six hours, and a night that stays in Cleburne sits at the bottom of that range while a Fort Worth one sits at the top. That single choice moves your total more than anything else on this page.

On a fifty-minute ride, comfort beats capacity

Groups here run moderate. About three quarters of the North Texas requests we log are for 20 passengers or fewer, and only a small slice are over thirty. The big ones are churches, teams, companies and wedding guests, and they know who they are.
On a long run, what your group sits on decides the mood more than how many seats there are:
- Up to 12 riders: a limo Sprinter or a 12-passenger stretch limousine. Smooth on the parkway, easy to park on the square.
- 13 to 22: a 22-passenger party bus, with enough seats that nobody spends fifty minutes standing.
- 23 to 40: a 40-passenger party bus for a big birthday or two groups combining for Dallas.
- Church, school or company groups: a coach. Reclining seats, luggage bays for day trips, and a restroom on some vehicles. Our coach bus lineup shows the sizes.
One practical warning. Most party buses have no restroom. On a 60 to 80 minute run to Dallas we can build a stop into your timeline, and you would much rather plan that than improvise it somewhere on US-67.

Book the hours the drive needs
Plenty of people call late. More than half of our North Texas requests arrive within 30 days, and 13% land inside a fortnight. From Cleburne that is tight, because a six or seven hour booking on a Saturday ties up a vehicle for the whole evening. December is the real squeeze, taking roughly one North Texas date in seven, when holiday parties and light tours all want the same nights you do.
Overtime and schedule changes come up in barely one call in a hundred that we analyze, and we would like to keep your night out of that number. Long runs are where it happens, because a late dinner plus a slow drive home stacks fast. Three habits prevent it:
- Book for the drive, not the map. Use the ranges above, not the noon estimate.
- Set your return time before you leave. Everyone should know when the bus pulls out of Fort Worth.
- Handle the deposit early. Payment questions come up on roughly one call in fourteen; settle yours when you book, not the week of.
Send us the date, headcount, pickup address, each stop and your end time, and you get vehicle options and one written total. If adults plan to drink on board, every rider must be 21 or over, no minors can be on that trip, and the vehicle's own terms apply. Your neighbors in Burleson share these roads north, and our Fort Worth page covers the drop points you will use most. To split the total among friends, the Cost Split Calculator does the arithmetic.
