Winter here is scheduled around tip-off

You already know the December routine. Somebody's gym, a cold lot, and a game that ends late enough to make a school night interesting. Your town's basketball pulls fans from well past Dallas County, and the Fieldhouse fills with club and youth brackets most winter weekends.
It shows up on our phones. Across our group-transportation inquiry data, roughly one game-day request in six lands in winter. Football owns the fall almost everywhere else. In a hoops town, the winter months are what keep the calendar busy between the holidays and spring break.
Game days also spread across the whole weekend. In that same data, 18% of game-day requests are for a Sunday, triple the share we see across all events. Brackets, pro games, Sunday watch parties. It fills the one day most celebrations leave alone, so if your group can ride on a Sunday you usually get more of the fleet to choose from.
We treat a playoff trip the way we treat a wedding. Fixed start, no second chances, and a plan for getting your people home after an overtime finish.

Call the week your team clinches
Brackets get set days ahead, and a neutral-site gym can be an hour out. That makes this booking nothing like a birthday. Four moves keep it simple:
- Pick one captain. One parent handles the headcount and the money. Payment questions come up on about 7% of the sales calls we review, and they almost always come from groups with nobody in charge.
- Hold the likely dates. Call us when the team wins the round before. We pencil in a vehicle and adjust once the venue posts.
- Split it fast. The Cost Split Calculator turns your quote into a per-family number you can drop straight into the team chat.
- Buy an hour for overtime. A double-overtime finish and a slow parking lot eat 45 minutes without trying.
Distance changes the vehicle. For a gym two hours out, or a state tournament run to San Antonio, a 40-passenger coach bus beats a party bus. Reclining seats, luggage bays, and your whole fan section riding together instead of caravanning. Our sports event transportation page covers stadium drop-off rules.
Book the ride and you get to watch the game instead of the mirrors.

Where I-20 and US-67 actually get you
Sitting on two highways is Duncanville's quiet advantage. I-20 runs the south edge of town, US-67 cuts the east side, and I-35E is minutes off that. Camp Wisdom, Wheatland and Main Street handle the local legs. The one spot we route around is the I-20 and US-67 interchange during the evening rush.
| From Duncanville to | Typical drive range | Good vehicle | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Street dinner stops | 5–10 min | Limo or Sprinter | Small downtown; load on a side street. |
| American Airlines Center | 20–35 min | 18-passenger party bus | US-67 to I-35E; the Victory Park exits clog on Mavericks nights. |
| AT&T Stadium / Globe Life Field | 25–40 min | 24 to 30-passenger bus | I-20 west, then Collins Street to the lots. |
| Bishop Arts District | 15–25 min | 18 or 20-passenger bus | Straight shot through Oak Cliff. |
| Cedar Hill State Park | 15–20 min | Sprinter or mid-size bus | Day trips and team picnics. |
| Neutral-site playoff gyms | 30–90 min | Coach bus | Depends on the bracket; add a full hour of cushion. |
Drop your stops into the Rental Hours Estimator and it adds the drive, the game and the exit line nobody counts.

Count jerseys before you count seats

Fan groups run smaller than people picture. Across our group-transportation inquiry data, 76% of game-day requests are for 20 riders or fewer. In real terms that is your family and a few friends, or five sets of parents splitting an away game.
Plenty are smaller still. Across our North Texas records, close to three in ten requests are for ten people or fewer. For two families going to a Mavericks game, a Sprinter or a 10-passenger stretch limo is enough, and it slips in and out of the arena curbs easily.
- Up to 10: limo or Sprinter. Easy drop at an arena curb.
- 11 to 20: 18 or 20-passenger party bus. Standing room and a sound system for the pregame playlist.
- 21 to 30: 24 to 30-passenger bus when the booster crew comes along.
- The whole fan section: a coach, or two vehicles leaving together.
Then count what rides with you. Signs, cowbells and folding chairs for a tournament day take floor space a dinner group never touches.

Dinner in town, then music in Dallas
Basketball is half the picture. The other steady call we take here is the birthday night: dinner with your family, then a ride into the city for a band. These crews usually mix generations, with parents, cousins and friends from church on the same bus.
Across our North Texas inquiry data, better than eight in ten birthday requests are for 20 riders or fewer, so the mid-size bus that works on a game day works here too. What changes is the clock. Roughly three-quarters of birthday requests ask for four to six hours. Four covers dinner and one Dallas stop. Six gets you two stops and a ride home nobody is rushing.
A Saturday that works:
- 6:30 p.m. Pickup at a family home near Armstrong Park.
- 6:45 p.m. Dinner in town or over in Bishop Arts.
- 9:00 p.m. Deep Ellum for live music, drinks for the 21-and-over crowd.
- 12:15 a.m. Back down I-35E and US-67, home by 12:45.

Curbs, church lots and the Fieldhouse
Your town is compact and mostly built out, with straight streets and established blocks. That is good news for a 35-foot vehicle. A few local details still decide how the first twenty minutes go:
- School and gym lots. Team departures go best from a school lot with the athletic office's blessing. Everybody loads once, your gear goes underneath, and nobody waits on a residential curb.
- The Fieldhouse on tournament days. Traffic knots up when games change over. We stage outside the busiest entrance and text your organizer a pin.
- Main Street. Short blocks, busy on a weekend evening. A limo can stop briefly; a bigger bus waits around the corner.
- Church lots. Plenty of congregations here will host a Saturday pickup for members. Ask the office a week out.
If half your group lives in DeSoto, one stop there on the way north costs less time than weaving through both towns. Still unsure what size fits? The Vehicle Size Matcher settles it in about a minute.
What to send us for a Duncanville ride
For a game: the teams, the venue if you have it, tip-off, your headcount, and where in town we are loading. For a birthday: the date, the headcount and every stop in order. You get vehicle options back, plus one written quote showing hours, stops and a single total. A signed agreement and a deposit hold it.
Student rides follow the school rules. A parent signs, only listed riders board, and there is no alcohol aboard. Your driver enforces that, not you, which takes one awkward job off a parent's plate. Adults 21 and over may bring drinks on most party buses, subject to the vehicle's terms. Arena tailgating rules are their own matter.
